THEATRE HANDMADE

Founded in October 2017 by Georgie Oulton and Allegra Marland.

Theatre Handmade is a female led theatre company aiming to collaborate with new creative talent and engage communities in female-centered social issues.

We tour our work regionally around the UK, performing and connecting with community groups through post-show workshops and panels.

We debuted with Di & Viv & Rose (in an hour), our adaptation of Amelia Bullmore’s critically-acclaimed play about female friendship. The tour began in London at the Tea House Theatre, moving on to a short run at Somerset House as part of an emerging artists platform called Fresh Lines, before finishing at the 2018 Edinburgh Fringe.

In June 2018 we launched our new writing night, Words and Things, at The Arcola Theatre. This celebrates actors who write their own work.

This February we collaborated with New York based Invulnerable Nothings and New River Press to put together the London premier of The Pussy Grabber Plays, a collection of short plays based the women who came forward about Trump.

We are now developing our brand new play, Two the Power of Three, that premiers at Brighton Fringe in May, before a community tour around the UK.
